As the business scaled, what started to feel inefficient or unsustainable about UK hiring?  

For roles that traditionally had a fairly frequent short to medium term turnover, we found ourselves looking for new candidates on a regular basis, often struggling to attract employees that would commit to an employment for the longer term. 

How did the Optimise model change the cost-to-output equation?
  
Whilst not the primary reason for using Optimise, the lower total cost of employment was certainly an indirect benefit in the cost-to-output equation. Of greater importance, I would say the general quality of candidates made available to us, along with the prescreening process completed by the Optimise team, together, enabled a recruitment process that was fast and effective.

What difference did being able to add capacity quickly make in practice?  

Whilst temporary solutions already existed in the UK, the ability to rapidly find suitable candidates that were more of a long term appointment meant training and administration requirements were significantly reduced, whilst also providing greater stability across the team.
